For many, it offers the chance to explore different diving locations while earning an income. For some, achieving this certification is a personal milestone, representing the highest level of expertise in their chosen activity. Obtaining a RAID Instructor certification can lead to a fulfilling career in the diving industry or simply enrich one's diving experiences.

At RAID, we have a unique and superior approach to dive training compared to other agencies. We firmly believe, and the evidence supports our stance, that raising training standards begins with producing highly skilled instructors. Choosing RAID means choosing to become the "best of the best." Our approach is not about making training more difficult or longer. Instead, it's about ensuring that instructors are fully prepared to take on the responsibility of training others to dive safely, and to work with dive facilities that prioritize quality training above all else.

While we do not advocate for returning to the old days when dive training took months, we do believe that divers should spend more time perfecting their skills in the pool. For instance, increasing open water training time from 80 to 120 minutes can make a significant difference in diver safety. As an aspiring RAID instructor, you know that it takes time to get divers comfortable in their first few dives. That's why we value an extra 40 minutes in the water to solidify skills, especially when it comes to essential aspects like buoyancy control.

At RAID, we focus on the methodology and training techniques to ensure that our instructors have exemplary buoyancy control. The Divers Alert Network (DAN) has identified poor buoyancy control as a significant risk to diver safety, and that's why we prioritize this skill from the start of our training program. Our additional prerequisites are designed to ensure that our instructors are fully equipped to provide top-notch training.
