If you’ve ever wished you could explore a little deeper, or enjoy more bottom time while everyone else is heading back to the boat, then this trip is perfect for you! It’s a relaxed introduction to technical diving, designed for recreational divers who are curious about taking the next step without feeling overwhelmed. You’ll experience the benefits of going deeper and staying longer, but in a fun, supportive environment – no pressure, no extreme world-record ambitions, just great diving with like-minded people.
Our Red Sea liveaboard will go to a mix of some of the Red Sea’s finest wrecks and reefs which are suitable for all levels of Tec divers. Max depth 55m!
This is the first of a series holidays we are planning in partnership with Oyster Diving and we hope you can join us for this adventure. This Red Sea expedition is the perfect gateway for ‘Tec-Reational’ divers ready to explore the Red Sea’s famous wrecks and reefs to their limits, or for those curious to take their very first steps into the world of deeper dives and longer bottom times. Your Red Sea Tec Experience
We are offering different options for divers seeking training which will allow you to tailor exactly what you would like to achieve in your next step as a diver.
OPTION ONE
40M Decompression Diver
Be a minimum of 18 years old.
Be certified as a RAID Explorer 30 or RAID Advanced 35 diver or equivalent
Be certified as a RAID Nitrox and RAID Deep 40 diver or equivalent.
Be able to complete the required swim and stamina tests.
Certified RAID Open Circuit Nitrox Instructor.
Submit a current Rescue Breathing/CPR/BLS Training and Oxygen Provider Instructor certificate/s.
To have a minimum of 80 logged underwater hours using open circuit scuba equipment.
OPTION TWO
50M Advanced Decompression Diver
Be a minimum of 18 years old.
Be certified as a RAID Nitrox, Deep 40 and Master Rescue Diver (or equivalent)
• Have logged 50 hours underwater or 75 dives using open circuit
Must have logged at least 5 hours between 25–40m/85-130 feet
Students participating in this program on sidemount or twinset, must be certified as RAID sidemount / twinset divers or equivalent
Submit current Rescue Breathing, CPR Training and Oxygen Provider certificates.
OPTION THREE
Tec Certified Divers
For divers who are already certified to dive deeper and complete decompression dives, we will have a dedicated guide so that you can really enjoy the reefs and wrecks off this amazing region.
THE DETAILS
Your home for the week will be on board M/Y Ghani. Run and maintained by the Scuba Scene team, the boat has been refurbished in 2025 to ensure safety and comfort are at the heart of this trip. The holiday is open to anyone who is either already qualified to dive to 55m, or would like to qualify to dive beyond 40m! Maximum guests will be 16 making for a very personal experience. Rebreather divers are absolutely welcome, but are limited to 45m, as access to helium at this point is extremely difficult in Egypt. Sofnalime costs are to be confirmed prior to travel due to price fluctuations.
