PADI TEC 60 CCR COURSE

The PADI Tec 60 CCR course is an advanced technical diving program that trains divers to safely and confidently dive up to a depth of 60 meters (200 feet). As a normoxic trimix rebreather course, it requires a diluent that contains 18% oxygen, making it a highly specialised program that demands a high level of experience from divers.

In addition to diving expertise, physical fitness is also essential for this course since dives at this level require a considerable equipment package. Divers will need at least two bailout cylinders, and in some circumstances, three may be required. The equipment package also includes a rebreather, which allows the diver to recycle the breathing gas and reduces the amount of decompression required during ascent.

To enroll in the PADI Tec 60 CCR course, a diver must first have completed the PADI Tec 40 CCR course, as well as have significant experience in technical diving. The program covers advanced diving skills, including gas planning, dive planning, and decompression planning.

Upon successful completion of the course, divers will be certified to dive to depths of up to 60 meters using normoxic trimix diluent and rebreather technology. The PADI Tec 60 CCR certification is a significant accomplishment and is recognised worldwide as an indication of advanced technical diving skills.

PADI Tec 60 CCR Pre-Requisites

Be a minimum of 18 years old.

Be certified as a Master Rescue Diver or equivalent.

Be certified as a PADI Tec 40 CCR diver or equivalent.

Have logged a minimum of 50 hours using a CCR with at least 25 dives.

Have logged at least 25 hours on the specific unit to be used on this course.

Have logged at least 20 dives deeper than 30 meters.

Have logged at least 10 dives that required staged decompression.
