Skills have been updated to ensure a consistent and reliable approach to diving, using a similar equipment configuration and performing the skills in a similar fashion.

With the PADI Tec Trimix 65 certification, you'll be able to use two optimized decompression gases to a maximum of 65 meters/213 feet, and your decompression obligations will be limited only by the amount of gas you carry. You'll certify to use Normoxic Trimix with a minimum oxygen content of 18%, and helium is based on a 30 meters/100-foot EAD/END.

PADI Tec Trimix 65 Pre-Requisites

Be a minimum of 18 years old.

Be certified as a PADI Tec 50 diver or equivalent.

Have logged 65 hours or 100 dives on open circuit.

Have logged 10 decompression dives.

Have logged 20 hours between 30 and 50 metres.

What To Expect On The PADI Tec Trimix 65 Course

The PADI Tec Trimix 65 course builds upon the knowledge and skills learned in the PADI Tec 50 program, and contains the very latest techniques, protocols, and technical information. During the course you use up to 100% oxygen for optimized decompression schedules.

Your dives will include staged decompression diving with the Diving Matrix instructional team, where we'll provide you with the expertise and skills needed to explore breathtaking wrecks and encounter mesmerizing sea creatures in the underwater world.

One of the unique features of the PADI Tec Trimix 65 course is that decompression obligations are limited only by the amount of gas carried by the diver. This means that divers have the flexibility to adjust their decompression schedules based on the amount of gas they have available, providing greater safety and control during their dives. In addition, using up to 100% oxygen for optimised decompression schedules allows divers to reduce their decompression times and safely extend their bottom times, while also minimizing the risk of decompression sickness.

The program may be completed wearing back mount twin set cylinders or, for those qualified as sidemount divers, in sidemount configuration. This provides divers with the flexibility to choose the equipment configuration that best suits their diving style and preferences.
